Ayvii interviews Mistah Fab
Mistah Fab! Your name had been everywhere. Youve been really putting on lately. Im hearing your the Prince of Cali so im like I gotta interview this guy! But for the people that arent to familiar with you or are just getting familiar with you, where exactly
Mistah Fab
Well im from Oakland California! Home of the Black Panthers, Mc Hammer, and theres a whole lotta things goin on in my city!
Ayvii
OKAY! Shout out to Oakland Cali. So are you signed to anyone in particular? who do you usually work with?
Mistah Fab
Well i have a major record deal with atlantic records, but its under my independant label called Forever After. Forever is my daughters name so its named after my daughter. We do have our own in house producer from our label who did "Every Girl" for Lil wayne, "My President is Black" for Young Jeezy, "Follow my lead" for 50 Cent and so many more. So i got a chance to work with a lot of artists.
Ayvii
Wow My President is Black, my Lambo's blue Owwww thats my song, i didnt know that your label produced those songs. Now I really wanna fast forward and jump into the interview with Ozone Magazine, where did the miss-understanding happen at?
Mistah Fab
Well when it comes to media exposure, a lot of people take things outta content for self reasons or exposure. If im talking to you and I feel like we have a friendship thats deeper than the interview that we are doing, we may say jokes back and forth to each other, but sometimes no matter how much a a friendship you may think you have with someone, sometimes all the media cares about is the interview.
Ayvii
Very true, its a thin line between friendship and business
Mistah Fab
yes and sometimes someone will try 2 make a situation way bigger than it actually is. Thats what it all was, playing games with someone i thought was cool but when the tables turned it was easy for that person to expose me to the media the way they wanted the public to view me. Im a very sarcastic person, i joke a lot but once that person felt like they were offended on a comment i made, then that person used all the fire power that they had to use against me, which really did NOTHING to me.
Ayvii
I can totally understand that, but a lot of people did feel a certain way about the statements you made about black women but jokes amongst friends thats sarcastic can easily turn into something else or escalate into a nasty situation. I also did confront Yung berg on the statements he said supposetly about not liking black women, but he said that it was totally untrue and that he had love for all. Things always get blown out of proportion and I hope the public understands that.
".....that person used all the fire power that they had to use against me, which really did NOTHING to me"
Yes people are gonna feel however they wanna feel. Its just hard to bring forth and understanding for those who are misunderstood.
Ayvii
Well a few of your fans had some questions for you. (Amaria@XXX.blackberry.net) Wanted to know whats the best advice anyone has ever givin you.
Mistah Fab
Well once my mother told me, sometimes you gotta sit in the bleachers and watch the game. Back in forth grade when i was young i never really understood what she meant by that saying until i came of age to realize that at times observation can be better than actual physical hands on. Just watching and learning.
Ayvii
So how do you feel about this Cali wave of the Jerk going on?
Mistah Fab
Well the Jerk is actually not new. Its been a ritual dance for certain gang members. At first i thought that they got their style from a group from the Bay Area called The pack who did "I got my Vans on" which are like my little home boys. I was like Wow they straight up took their whole style. But then i realize that they are all young guys and thats the stage of the music for al of them at the moment and they all worked hard and allowed themselves to create their own name.
Ayvii
People also wanted to know if there is any chance of the East Coast Fab and the West coast Fab ever working together and collab'ing on a track together?
Mistah Fab
Yes Fabolous is my homie. I def. have plans on us working together, he's def. a cool dude. I just actually went and bought LOSO's WAY its a great album and everyone should support it.
Ayvii
So what ever happened legally with the whole ghost rider song?
Mistah Fab
Well Columbia pictures owned the rights to a certain item that we had in the video which was the actual car from the ghost busters movie. They owned the license and copy-writes to that car and we never cleared it with Columbia pictures so they put a ban on the song so it actually made it that much bigger. Two years ago it was like the 13th most downloaded song in the world.
Ayvii
Okay so you got the victory in the end. Now i know that you also do charity work and give back to your community. Inform us on that.
Mistah Fab
I do a lot in my community as far as artist development, mentoring a lot of the youth. We have a program that government funded called YOUTH UPRISING. We talk to the kids and give them leadership on how to create music. Im also in the mist of getting my non profit organization off the ground which is called KIDS which stands for Knowledge induced development system.
Ayvii
Okay sounds great! Any new albums coming out?
Mistah Fab
Yes I have one called "The Bus Ride" its like an adventure of my life as far as things ive learned and accomplished and plan on accomplishing all in one album. I have guest appearances from the band SUBLIME, TRAVIS BARKER, so its def. very diverse. I also have a gangsta Grillz coming out with Dj Drama called Reality Rap.
Ayvii
Wow i cant wait to hear it! Sounds like its going to have some fire. So what message do you hope to convey thru this album?
Mistah Fab
The world will know who Mistah Fab is as an artist, as an entity, a father, a man, a businessman and as a regular everyday person!

JUMZ
Ayvii Interviews rapper JUMZ
JUMZ I'm really happy to have finally gotten a hold of you. You have been a very busy man. I know you took a trip to Hollywood this summer, how was it?
JUMZ
Everything is Everything. When I make trips its never all leisure. I'm doing research for my music and im building my contacts. Im preparing myself for when I finally get my foot in the door. Laast thing I wanna be is a regional artist. I want everyone to accept my music from the East, West, South, and all over.
Ayvii
Not 2 mention you keep the twitter world highly entertained. Your very opinionted, with a sarcastic sence of humor. I think thats a great characteristic because you have this natural abitily to captivate an audience. So when your performing on stage, how do you win +over your audience?
JUMZ
Well i cant really stop and tell jokes on stage even tho sometimes I would love to make fun of some fo the people I see. When im onstage, I just lose myself and the crowd gives me energy. I endulge into my songs and I pull out some of the most vivid emotions tomake it easy for the listener to relate.
"You Get the REAL JUMZ in every song, Not just one or two tracks....."
I know your dropping a mixtape. Whats your first single and what other artists did you collab with?
JUMZ
Well first I dropped a teaser for my mixtape STONEWATER. The track is called "What I do for a living" and its produced by Severe. I felt like this track needed to be out there for people to hear about where im coming from right now. The single is very East Coast buts its still raw and pure for peopleto handle whats coming next.
Ayvii
Most rappers drop albums that reflect their lifestyle or life. Is there any specific song that you feel people should hear to get to know the "REAL JUMZ"
JUMZ
You get the REAL JUMZ in every song. Not just one or two tracks. Even if im telling a story about someone else your still going to get my opinion on that situation. Its difficult for me to put something out there that has nothing to do with the truth. Im NOT CB4! haha
Ayvii
Oh and whats up withthat video you dropped to that track, Im a Problem? I LOVE it!!!
JUMZ
"Im a Problem" is featuring my boy TROUBLESUM. He's straight Jamaican and he def. added the right ingredient to that track. My laid back flow and his melodies killed it. We shot the video back at my old crib in the Bronx.
Ayvii
So wrapping up the summer of 09', what do you expect to be accomplished?
JUMZ
I just wanna put out hit after hit. I don't see the point in creating a thousand songs if nobody likes them when u can create one timeless hit and be set for life. This year im investing in Quality not Quantity. This isnt the last your gonna hear from me I promise! GOOGLE ME!

J. SMOOVE... BROWNSKIN AT ITS BEST
Ayvii's Interview with JeJuan Smoove
Jejuan! Im excited that we finally got around to doing your interview. You have really been a busy man lately. Your shinning right now J! Everytime I turn around a girl is askin me "Who's that model on your website? J Smoove" haha How's your modeling career coming along?
J. Smoove
Its coming along good, Im getting a lot of attention, especially in the Atlanta area. Ive been working on signing with an agency. Theres been talks of me signing with a New York agency as well, so we will see where that goes.
Ayvii
I know that you also recently did a video with Colliparks's new group Vistos Bosses right? How did you get picked?
J. Smoove
Well i actually knew one of the artist in the group personally. Her and I have a great friendship, so she pretty much asked me if i was interested in being in the video. I was OK! I was with it. I appreciate the opportunity. It was really fun I had a great time.
Ayvii
I hear the video also featured Soulja Boy. So on the set, how was it working with Vistos Bosses and Soldier Boy?
J.Smoove
Well they have a great relationship because they are under the same label. As for Soulja Boy, exactly what you see is how he acts. He has a great personality. When he walks in a room he has a great, fun aura about him. I respect him, he's a really cool person.
Ayvii
Would you consider doing more Music Videos, or was this just a one time thing?
J.Smoove
Oh im def. gonna do more! Ive had a few more offers rolling in, so im down for whatever!
Ayvii
Them ladies gonna want you to be the leading man in their videos next. I must say, you have an incredible body! My sources in ATL told me you play football?
J.Smoove
Yea i do, I love football! Im very athletic
"Airport Stuntin is Not only about being fly, but its for individuals who are good at what they do"
I know that you do so much. You have the football, then the modeling, and I know that you also sing , rap,and songwrite write? Do you take the Music industry seriously? Would you actually consider being a rapper or singer?
J.Smoove
Yes I do. Everything that i do, or participate in, i consider making it a career. I been doing music and rapping since I was 10. As for singing, one day when I was younger just playing around and singing in the mirror, then i stopped like whoaaa I actually can sing haha. Im very low-key about singing tho.
Ayvii
I know that on top of all that you also have a company called Airport Stuntin. What exactly is Airport stuntin?
J.Smoove
Well If you pay attention to hip hop, most of the press is at the airport. A few rappers have mentioned airport stuntin. I even heard Drake say Airport Stuntin, fly charters overseas. Airport Stuntin is not only about being fly, its for individuals that are young and good at what they do. So come to Air Port Stuntin and we will promote you. Its like promotion company.
Ayvii
I cant wait to see how great Airport Stuntin becomes. Just to let everyone know, airport stuntin will be added to my website. Im really excited about partnering up with JeJuan to expand and reach more people. How do people send you material if they want to be on airport stuntin?
J.Smoove
Right now im getting in touch with people that im seeing in the works. Its more of invite only at the moment. But my team and I have our eyes open! Business is Business, so be great at what you do!
Ayvii
Well ladies, he's handsome as hell, smart, athletic and goal oriented. Jejuan is def. a keeper. So the ladies wanna know, what kind of woman would catch your attention?
J.Smoove
hahahaha.....damn. Obviously intelligent females. I dont like hot headed, angry females. Ive had issues with that in the past. Someone who dresses up when needed, can chill when necessary, no issues or drama. Someone who shares common intrests as i do and who gives off a positive vibe.
Ayvii
Well its been great speaking with you JeJuan aka J.Smoove aka Mr.Airport Stuntin aka Mr.Model, Actore, Rapper, and song writer! Yall better get familiar because he's about to take over! Any shout outs?
JeJuan
Yes. Shout out to the whole ATL and everyone who ive worked with plus all my supporters!

Miguel

Miguel
Basically, my family keeps me grounded, they are the reason why I stay focused and on track. So i dont really let the whole fame and popularity get to my head. One day you can have it all, and the next day you can lose it all. I never take fame to the head or for granted.

Essence
Ive been modeling since i was 6, but as far urban modeling, I've been doing that for a little over 2 years now, but I'm now starting to make major moves in my career because, I'm now working with a new team, that Im extremly excited about!
Ayvii
Would you ever consider being an actress?
Essence
You know what weird, i actually got offered a part to play in this new movie filmed in Atlanta called, 5 Days in the A, but I was out of town at the time, and the scene was pushed back... I think that being a actress would be the ultimate move of my career, I would definatly want 2 indulge in that area of entertainment.
"Im very in-tune with my sexiness, and Thongs are just SEXY to me Period ! lol"
Ayvii
Now 4 questions im sure the fellas want to know haha! Which do you prefer, thongs or boyshorts?
Essence

Interview with JAY NEWZ
Rising A&R
Ayvii
My homie Jay Newz. You're one of the most straight forward individuals I've met in this industry. I swear your the next D Roc. A real music oriented business man. So where are you currently working?
Jay Newz
I'm a Senior rep / A&R for The Famous Firm but on the side I consult for Atlantic , Asylum/Warner and the streets.
Ayvii
What Music Artist are you working with now?
Jay Newz
Right now I'm currently working on a number of projects. Vado from Most Hated is the main aritst that I'm focused on at the moment. He is my top priority but I also work with a numerous amount of artists signed & unsigned (Rich Hil , Champ B , Chris Live , Nefu Da Don , Killa Kyleon etc.)
Ayvii
Hip Hop has changed so much. If people like Aaliyah, Biggie, and Tupac was still alive, do you think the game would be different?
Jay Newz
Truthfully I don't think it would've been much different because music evolves with the times. They would've definitely brought out the best in upcoming artists.
Ayvii
Whats raps biggest problem?
Jay Newz
No originality. Everybody just talks about the same topics & things thats going on in their hood. Never their own story. They glorify the lives of hood legends known and unknown instead of telling their tale.
"No originality. Everybody just talks about the same topics & things thats going on in their hood. Never their own story. "
Ayvii
Who Do you look up to in the Game?
Jay Newz
The unsung names that paved the way for quality music Kyambo Joshua (Hip Hop) , Sickamore , Joie Manda , Gee Roberson , Jean Nelson the list goes on..........
Ayvii
So who's up next for 09. Who should we look out for this year
Jay Newz
Everyone that stepped their grind up a notch or 2 in 09. Personally I think Vado will set the bar for all upcoming NY artists and bring the essence back to apple . Rich Hil will open a lane for a new genre of music and the lead the cult , The Noxmen Committee (Marz Money, Stealberg , T Hope , J Stud & Champ Bailey) will be the next biggest group out of NY besides the Wu Tang Clan & the Diplomats. Range from CT will be a household name in the Pop / R&B lane . BK got a lot of artists on the grind right now as well ( Nefu Da Don , Push Montana , Trouble & Biz etc.)
Ayvii
Thats whats up. So is there anyone you want to shout out?
Jay Newz
First and foremost I gotta shout out The Famous Firm for the evolution were bringing to the game, my partner in crime Kels, the good staff over at Atlantic & Hip Hop Since 1978. Plus all the real artists that give me the drive and push 2 still keep doing this music, and you Ayvii aka Keisha (Haha) Vado's I Am Harlem street tape coming soon! Champ B " Here I Am " mixtape out now. Also The Last Kings Of Brooklyn Project coming soon Shout Outs to Hovain , Mike Milli (TB$) , Troy Ave , Teflon Drama Honorable Mention : Songbook Ent. and D2 Music Management
